Spreading of Excellence
There are 2 work packages within the Spreading of Excellence activity:
1. Education and Training:
The main objective of this work package is the creation of a solid training platform for postgraduate students, with a consolidated research and training programme in nanophotonics within the Network.
Handbook of Nanophotonic Courses
In this handbook you will find details of relevant nanophotonic courses/training opportunities, both academic and industrial, available at the institutions of the partners involved PhOREMOST, grouped under the following headings:
- Nanomaterials and Nanostructures;
- Photonics;
- Optics and Quantum optics;
- Applied Photonics and Nanophotonics;
- Biophotonics;
- Semiconductor materials, and
- Imaging.
The level of the courses would suit the Master’s and Ph.D. curricula. However within the course details, you will also find lists of recommended books and journal publications that may be useful for all researchers.
Hands-on-training Opportunities & PhOREMOST Lecture Programme
In addition to the Handbook of Nanophotonic Courses, PhOREMOST Partners have been invited to participate in the PhOREMOST Lecturing Programme. In this programme Senior PhOREMOST members offer to attend Partner Institutes to present guest lectures and/or hands on training to students. In addition the programme is a used by Partner Institution to inviting Members with expertise in certain topics to attend their institute.For the current Lecture Programme click here.

2. Dissemination:
The aim is to introduce the scientific and industrial community to the advantages offered by the field of nanophotonics and contribute to the public understanding of science in the area of nanotechnologies in general and nanophotonics in particular.Pack and Take Presentations:
The Pack and Take Presentations have been prepared for dissemination at public events. The presentations are used to describe the research areas addressed by the NoE to both the scientific and lay audience.
Presentation to Industry:
The Presentation to Industry presentation has been prepared for dissemination at Industrially focused events. The presentation highlights the activities of PhOREMOST NoE and the research interests and outputs.
